SideKick4 version change logs |
|
Change Log :
Version 4.3.2 Extended support of high end multi threaded systems using very low audio buffer settings. -
Added shift + click functionality to the knobs, which allows quicker fine-tuning of the compression settings.
Version 4.3 Virtual buses CPU management optimization. -
Fix for interface issues with cubase 5 and possible other hosts. Fix for stability issues in Renoise 2.
Version 4.2 -
Internal optimization, which lowered the side chain delay in most cases to half the amount of previous versions. -
Added unique numbering of the side chain instances that are running making it easier to see with which instance you are working. (the no. in the circle, top-left corner) -
The listen button (added since 4.1.5) setting is now automatable and saveable. Making the sidekick also usable as a simple audio re-router within your host. -
Added a filtering section to the plugin. With a optional low & high cut filter on both the side chain input and audio output. The filter settings can be applied to the sidechain control signal (the 'input' button). And/or to the outputted audio (the 'output' button), which allows you to only side chain the audio between the low and high cut filters. (spectral ducking/keying). -
You can now input values with the keyboard. All parameter setting displays are now editable by double clicking the display.
Version 4.1.5 - Among other fixes, this version contains an important fix for the parameters resetting after reloading a saved project.
- Added decibel notation to the meters.
- Added a 'listen' button above the receive bus selection box. Which will allow you to hear the output of the selected receive bus.
- Added a display below the receive bus selection box, which shows the delay of the side-chain in milliseconds. The delay is dependant on the VST host and its audio settings.
Version 4.1
- Fixes for the side-chain routing extending the compatibility with multiple VST hosts. Support for variable buffer sizes and eliminating the dependency of computation order within the host.
- A led to indicate if audio is being received from a virtual bus.
- Parameter presets to make a side-chaining setup even faster.
- A drive knob with soft saturation to 'fatten up' the output signal.
Version 4.0 - 32 stereo virtual channels for side-chain routing.
- Virtual channels are upgraded to virtual buses, making it easier to create side-chain mixes. And thereby supports (virtually) unlimited instances of SideKick4.
- Ratio & gain control, Lifting the effect up from a gate effect to full compressor.
- Optional stereo-linking, by turning stereo-linking off you can create expressive stereo ducking & keying effects.
- Multiple audio input and output meters creating better transparency in the interface for side-chain routing.
- All parameters, including the side-chain routing can be automated and saved by the VST host. This ensures the side-chain routing will stay intact after saving and closing your project.
